About jewelry

Jewelry refers to ornaments that used to decorate individuals and related circumstances. Jewelry represents another significant way in which people costume themselves in the effort to self-define. Jewelry is truly an illustrator of the idea of self-definition simply because much of it is entirely non-functional. The rarer the material is made from, the more value it holds. Jewelry like this is used to mark important occasions because it was considered valuable.

Bloodstone gemstone

Bloodstone is a dark green stone with spots of reddish iron oxide. Particle of chlorite or include hornblende needles cause the green color.

It is sometimes called ‘Blood Jasper,’ although it isn’t really a Jasper, but a different type of Chalcedony.

An old name still used in Europe is ‘heliotopre’ (Greek – sun turner), the bloodstone has been used by practitioners of the magical arts for more than 3,000 years.

It is said that the main virtue of this stone is to stop the flow of blood when applied to a wound and it was for this very reason that many warriors in ancient Rome and Greece carried with them an amulet of bloodstone.

The blend of red and green, which are opposites on the color wheel, are thought to allow Bloodstone to help inveterate and blood opposites.
